Hello, my friends. On today's episode(插曲), Lucas and I will be discussing morning habits. Listening to natural conversations can help you enhance(提高) your English skills in various(各种各样的) ways, such as improving your listening abilities, learning new words, phrasal verbs, idioms, and much more. However, before we begin, I would like(喜欢) to humbly request(请求) that you give this video a like(喜欢) if you enjoy it. Your feedback([无]回授) will inspire(激发) me to create new episodes(插曲) like this. Hey, Lucas.
Good morning. How did you sleep? Hey, Daisy(雏菊). Good morning. I slept pretty well. Thanks for asking.
How about you? Wait, wait. My friends, did you notice the word "slept"? "Slept" is the past tense and past participle(分词) of sleep. I had a great night's sleep. Thank you.
So, I wanted to ask you, have you developed any new morning habits recently? I've been trying to incorporate(包含) some healthy habits into my morning routine. Incorporate means to include or add something into something else. In this context, it means adding healthy habits to the morning routine. Actually, I have been trying to do the same thing. I've been trying to start my day with some light exercise like a quick yoga(瑜珈(意为“结合”) routine or a walk around the block(街区).
That's a great idea. I've been trying to drink a glass of warm lemon water first thing in the morning. I've heard it helps with digestion(消化) and boosts(推进) your metabolism(新陈代谢). Oh, I've heard about that too. I might have to give it a try(尝试). Another habit I've been trying to develop is limiting(限制) my phone use in the morning.
I find that if I start scrolling(成卷形) through social media or checking my email right away, it sets(设置) a negative tone(音) for the rest of my day. That's a really good point. I've been trying to avoid my phone in the morning too, but it's definitely a challenge(挑战). I've also been trying to incorporate gratitude(感激(之情)) into my morning routine by taking a few minutes to reflect(反射) on what I'm thankful for. That's a great idea. I think it's really important to start the day with a positive mindset.
Another habit I've been trying to develop is a consistent(坚持的) sleep schedule. I find that when I go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, I feel more energized and focused throughout(遍及) the day. I totally(完全地) agree. I've been trying to prioritize my sleep as well. Another habit I've been trying to develop is taking a few minutes in the morning to plan out my day.
