The Wind(风) and the Sun are having a disagreement(分歧). "I am the most powerful(强有力的)," says the Wind(风). "No, I am the most powerful," says the Sun. "I can blow(吹) trees to the ground(地)," brags(吹牛) the Wind(风). "I can push(推) ships(船) across the ocean( 洋)." "I can make hurricanes(飓风) and tornadoes(旋风)."
"Is that right?" replies(回答) the Sun. "Well, I can melt((使)融化) all the snow on the mountains." "I can dry(把…弄干) up an entire(全部的) lake(湖)." "I can make a sidewalk(人行道) so hot that it cooks an egg." Just then, they see a man walking along(沿着) the road in his winter jacket. "Let's have a contest(竞赛) to see who is more powerful(强有力的)," says the Wind.
"Whoever(无论谁) can remove(移动) the man's jacket first wins(赢)." The Sun agrees.
